Value For Money

Situated on the ‘gardens’ (quiet) end of Camp street, Halo is a local Queenstowner’s hang-out.  Great outdoor seating in the sun, friendly table service, good food and great value for money.

Our usual fare here is coffee and muffins or cake or smoothie (always fabulous), but they have a varied a-la-carte menu as well. I once brought American clients here because they were desperate for a real Burrito and beans – very happy guests.

They are fully licensed. The drinks list is not extensive, but has some good local  and standards to please all and the prices are very good.

For a change we decided to order from the menu. My friend ordered the Beef Burger with fries. Every ingredient was quality and the burger was delicious and filling. My blue cod & salmon Fish Cakes were pretty and perfectly cooked with a light salad on the side.  The fish flavour was too light for my taste and ended up tasting like slightly chilli potato fritters – yum, but not at all fishy.  Would try something else next time. But, will keep returning!
